The most powerful charging HUB in Europe will be built in Slovakia

Dubnica nad Váhom, 10 May 2024 – The construction of the most powerful public charging HUB for electric vehicles in Europe will start soon, right in the capital of Slovakia. Bratislava will be the first city in the old continent where it will be possible to charge an electric car with up to 600 kW of power.

The development of electric vehicle charging technologies is progressing at a rapid pace, significantly reducing the time that needs to be spent at the charging station. Today’s electric cars are normally charged at 100 to 200 kW, but more cars are gradually appearing on the road that can accept significantly higher charging power. Heavy goods transport is even further ahead in this direction, and there are already electric tractor units that can take 350 kW or more.

Charging power up to 600 kW

The Slovak charging station manufacturer, ejoin, is currently finishing the construction of the most powerful public charging HUB for electric vehicles. It will be located in Bratislava, close to the city’s main ring road. The location is strategically chosen so that charging points are easily accessible for those travelling towards Bratislava, but also from the city further north or east of Slovakia. The charging HUB will offer a total of six parking stalls for electric car charging with the possibility of further expansion. Technically, it will be a terminal solution with a central unit that will be connected to three dispensing racks. Each dispenser will be equipped with two CCS2 connectors for simultaneous charging of up to six EVs. The entire system is unique in particular for its high efficiency, precise distribution of charging power among all the vehicles to be charged and a maximum charging power per connector of up to 600 kW.

Easy payment

Of course, various payment methods for charging will be supported, including the simplest one directly by credit card via the payment terminal. In addition to this option, customers will be able to pay for charging using the ejoin GO app or standard ad-hoc payment by scanning a QR code. Thanks to these parameters, the charging HUB is fully prepared for the future of electromobility, not only in terms of the number of parking spaces, but above all in its ability to supply EVs with enough power to charge as quickly as possible without restrictions. The charging HUB is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2024.
